What would you like to get out of Speakeasy Club
The opportunity to practise public speaking in a friendly, mutually supportive environment while networking with a wide range of people. My background is as a journalist and broadcaster. For many years I worked as a freelance writer specialising in the travel industry; and now work as a public relations consultant - again, specialising in travel, tourism and leisure.

Tell us about your public speaking experience
I used to belong to another public speaking group in Brighton & Hove - but found it somewhat over-formal. I wanted a livelier, less bureaucratic and more business-oriented club aimed squarely at helping members gain confidence in a variety of day-to-day situations. The best idea seemed to be to set up a new club - and start from scratch.
